Surgical Care

Gynecologic Surgical Care

Some women’s health conditions require more than medication or monitoring. When surgery is an appropriate option, Dr. Payne helps patients understand their diagnosis, treatment choices, and what to expect throughout the process.
Surgical care should never feel rushed or unclear. Dr. Payne takes time to explain why a procedure may be recommended, what alternatives may exist, and how the procedure may help.

Common Menopause
And Perimenopause Symptoms

Surgical evaluation may be recommended for:

Abnormal uterine bleeding

Fibroids

Ovarian cysts

Pelvic pain

Endometriosis

Polyps

Abnormal Pap follow-up

Heavy periods

Other gynecologic concerns

If these symptoms are affecting daily life, work, sleep, or relationships, it may be time to schedule a menopause-focused visit.

What To Expect

Consultation

Your visit begins with a discussion of your symptoms, history, prior testing, and goals. Dr. Payne will review what may be causing the issue and whether additional evaluation is needed.

Diagnosis And Options

If a procedure may be helpful, Dr. Payne will explain the reason for the recommendation, available alternatives, risks, benefits, and expected recovery.

Before Surgery

Patients receive instructions before the procedure, including preparation steps, medication guidance, and what to expect on the day of surgery.

After Surgery

Follow-up care is an important part of recovery. Dr. Payne and her team will provide post-procedure instructions and help answer questions during healing.
